Love Island’s Jonny Mitchell confirmed as Celebrity Big Brother’s first male contestant following explosive split from Stephanie Pratt
LOVE Island hunk Jonny Mitchell is the first male star confirmed for next year’s Celebrity Big Brother, The Sun’s Bizarre column can exclusively reveal.
Bosses were keen to sign up the reality favourite following his split from Made in Chelsea’s Stephanie Pratt in the hope he will resume his lothario ways.
A TV insider said: “Jonny is going to be a big hit on the show.
“Viewers really enjoyed watching him on Love Island this summer – and clearly there’s still more to see from Jonny.
“His split from Stephanie was a major factor in Channel 5 booking him for the new series.
“He is guaranteed to bring some drama to the house and romance one of the female contestants.”
Jonny rose to fame on Love Island this summer when he romanced the likes of Camilla Thurlow and Tyla Carr.
But his flirtations didn’t stop there – with Jonny dating Chyna Ellis when he left the villa before moving onto reality star Stephanie.
Their relationship came to a bitter end last week with Stephanie accusing Jonny of cheating on her and treating her badly during their time together.
Stephanie, whose brother Spencer and wife Heidi starred in Celebrity Big Brother last year, claims she was sent messages by other women who alleged that Jonny wasn’t faithful.

In one tweet she said: "I didn't want to ever indulge more into my cryptic text about calling the police but now seeing his secret double life. WOW. My heart is just smashed. So much deceit and abuse. WHY. I'm not a bad person. Why why why."
But his newly single status was the deciding factor in him joining the show that will play tribute to women with an all-female cast when it launches in January.
Over the course of the series the male counterparts will enter the house and take part in tasks which will test their assumptions of gender stereotypes.
