I’m A Celebrity’s Amir Khan and Iain Lee reminisce about ‘incredible’ strawberries and cream robbery
The iconic Strawberrygate has become a major divisive point in camp - but luckily the culprits can now see the funny side
AMIR Khan and Iain Lee have bonded once again over the now iconic Strawberrygate on I'm a Celebrity.
The pair became part of the biggest scandal in the camp last week after they wolfed down a strawberries and cream treat they had earned in a Dingo Dollar challenge.
Their fellow campmates were then left fuming when they discovered the deception when Iain came clean.
Reminiscing about their moment of rebellion in the treehouse today, the pair bonded once again after a frosty reception between the pair ever since.
Reflecting on their time in camp, Amir admitted he thought it was "quiet" now only 5 out of 12 campmates remain in the competition.
Iain admitted: “It feels eerie, I feel a little bit sad. All these people have gone, the end is now very very close."
“We started off with 12 people and now we’re left with the last 5, tomorrow 4, crazy” said Amir. “Remember these days eh?"
Bringing up the divisive moment in the camp, Iain said: " I’m gonna be honest, that strawberries and cream was…”
Laughing over the memory of the moment, Iain admitted that they "couldn't believe they got away with it".
“I kept telling them they weren’t nice but they were lovely, the cold cream” said Amir.
Iain agreed and said the cream was "incredible" after days of living off rations.
Amir had previously told the campmates that it had been Iain’s idea to do the deed last week, and let him take the flak for their bad behaviour.
However, the truth finally came out when Amir said to Iain around the campfire: “When we ate the strawberries I was saying ‘You can’t tell them just yet, don’t tell them because they are going to be expecting something and then they’ll be really upset if you go now they are going to be pi**ed with you because you just lied to them’.”
Overhearing the chat, Stanley Johnson had enough and jumped to Iain's defence by saying: “Amir, you let Iain stand there and absorb all the punishment and Becky gave him one of her smouldering glances, anyway it is water under the bridge.”
