SALMA Hayek has become known as one of the biggest stars in Hollywood - and is the latest star to come forward in the Harvey Weinstein sexual assault allegations.

Who is Salma Hayek?
Salma was born in 1966 in Veracruz, Mexico to Diana, an opera singer and talent scout, and Sami, an oil company executive.
She has one younger brother, also named Sami, and she classes herself as “50% Lebanese, 50% Spanish” as her family is of descent from both generations.
Starting her career in telenovelas, she later moved over to American cinema, with her first major film being From Dusk til Dawn in 1996.
In 2009, Salma married to French businessman, Francois-Henri Pinault and they have one daughter, Valentina, who was born in 2007.
What are her allegations regarding Harvey Weinstein?
Amid a string of other claims regarding Harvey Weinstein, Salma has come forward and accused the film mogul of threatening to kill her when she refused his advances.
In a piece written for the , Salma wrote that he was “her monster” and he had frequently requested he watch her shower, share a shower with him and let him massage her.
He later threatened to pull her movie Frida if she didn’t consent to a lesbian sex scene in 2002.
She claims she “began to cry” and had a nervous breakdown when shooting the scenes as a result.
“It was not because I would be naked with another woman,” she said.
“It was because I would be naked with her for Harvey Weinstein.”
In a statement through a spokesperson yesterday, Weinstein denied Hayek’s depiction of their relationship and said the battles on Frida were “creative friction.”

Salma has been critically acclaimed in several of her movies, and has appeared in dramas as well as comedies.
These include starring in 1997 rom-com Fools Rush in with Matthew Perry; Wild Wild West alongside Will Smith; playing Serendipity in Kevin Smith’s 1999 film Dogma, and Once Upon a Time in Mexico by 2003.
