BIG Narstie is an English grime artist and internet personality who is most famous for his YouTube videos - including his parody agony aunt style series Uncle Pain.

Who is Big Narstie?

Big Narstie is an English grime MC who was born on November 17, 1985.

He began his career back in 2002 as a member of grime crew N-Double-A, but is better known for his solo work.

He shot to prominence back in 2006, when he signed to Dice Recordings, an independent record label. His song Brushman - which sampled tracks by Oasis, Coldplay and Arctic Monkeys - was one of the first grime/indie records to receive support from multiple mainstream radio stations.

He is also known for his YouTube videos and Uncle Pain agony aunt-style parody.

Believe it or not, Big Narstie isn't his real name. His real name is Tyrone Lindo.

Is Big Narstie taking part in The Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off?

No! Big Narstie was due to take part in the five-part series in aid of charity.

The MC was meant to be battling it out against a whole host of other celebrities including Russell Brand, Jeremy Paxman and Johnny Vegas.

It was first announced in October that the he would be taking part in the programme to raise awareness of the disease.

However on March 19, it was announced he fell ill and had to pull out of the show.

Presenter Sandi Toksvig, who fronts the baking show with comic Noel Fielding, filled in for the rapper, who fell ill during the two days of filming.

On the second day of baking, Noel announces: “There has been a development overnight.

"Unfortunately, Big Narstie can’t be with us today as he’s a little bit unwell, but he will be replaced by another baker. It’s a seamless swap, don’t worry.”

The celebrity spin-off of Channel 4’s popular baking show – hosted by Noel Fieldingand Sandi Toksvig - will see them battle it out beneath the iconic white tent in the name of charity.

The series will air every Tuesday at 8pm on Channel 4 for the next 5 weeks.

What happened when Big Narstie was on Gogglebox?

Big Narstie has a whole host of famous friends, including Ed Sheeran.

In November 2017 the pair appeared together on the hit Channel 4 TV show Gogglebox, along with Example, and many viewers thought Big Narstie was stoned.

One wrote on Twitter: "Big Narstie stoned AF on #Gogglebox."

Another claimed: "Big Narstie is high as f**k."

Ed is godfather to the grime MC's child and in 2015, he featured on Big Narstie's track She Said I Was A Weirdo.

Later that year, Big Narstie was spotted supporting Ed at the Shape of You hitmaker's debut concert film Jumpers for Goalposts.

Big Narstie has also met Ed's mum Imogen. Speaking about a Brit Awards after-party back in 2015, he told Vice: "Me and Ed were sitting together. I was drunk.

"I think it was DJ Zed Bias. He was on the decks, I came out the toilet, asked Ed’s mum if she was alright. Me and Momma E started skanking in the middle of the dance floor."

What other TV shows has Big Narstie been on?

Big Narstie appeared on Channel 4's The Big Fat Quiz of the Year.

The show, fronted by Jimmy Carr, is the annual must-see for quiz show lovers who want to test their memory of the last 12 months.

He appeared alongside Richard Ayoade, Noel Fielding, David Mitchell, Katherine Ryan and Roisin Conaty.

Big Narstie has also appeared on the Channel 4 sitcom Dubplate Drama alongside N-Dubz and Shystie. He has also had a guest appearance in the films Anuvahood and London State of Mind.

He is set to appear in the series Krish and Lee and the film Rise of the Foot Soldier 2.

On May 30, 2018 Big Narstie appeared on Britain's Got Talent where he got into a scuffle live on air with finalist Robert White.

He was seen pushing the comedian after he tried to dance with him.

He also hosts his own show on Friday nights on Channel 4, with a selection of famous faces.
