Louise Redknapp filed for divorce from Jamie in March – days after Strictly Come Dancing tour ended

LOUISE Redknapp submitted divorce papers nine months ago, just days after finishing the Strictly tour.

Her 19-year marriage to football pundit Jamie ended on Friday when a judge took barely 25 seconds to grant them a decree nisi.

Court documents say Louise, 43, blamed 44-year-old Jamie’s “unreasonable behaviour”.

We can reveal she submitted them in March.

A source said yesterday: “The marriage was over long before anyone previously believed.”

We told in April it was on the rocks.

The Strictly tour has been blamed after Louise, who gave up a pop career to start a family, spoke of rediscovering her love of the limelight.

Rumours of an affair with dance partner Kevin Clifton, 35, have been denied.

Pals say Jamie is furious at being blamed but eventually decided not to contest the terms as he wanted it finished, and to protect their two boys.

The couple have six weeks to apply for a decree absolute which will formally end their 19-year marriage.

Divorce papers say: “The petitioner (Louise Redknapp) has sufficiently proved the contents of the petition herein and is entitled to a decree of divorce the marriage having irretrievably broken down, the facts found proven being the Respondent’s (Jamie Redknapp) unreasonable behaviour.

Further public documents say: “The Respondent has behaved on such a way that the Petitioner cannot reasonable be expected to live with the Respondent.”

The marriage has “broken down irretrievably”, the documents say.

Louise is living away from the family home but her two children have been living with Jamie in Oxshott, Surrey.
