Kerry Katona facing court battle with ex George Kay as he ‘demands £1million divorce settlement’
KERRY Katona is reportedly facing a bitter court battle with ex George Kay after he demanded a £1million divorce settlement.
The singer-turned-reality TV star is said to fighting her former partner over her earnings following their split this summer.
Kerry, 37, split from George, 37, in June following a string of rows and nasty bust-ups.
The that George wants Kerry to hand over £20,000-a-month - a pay out equal to £1million over four years - to settle their divorce.
But the publication reports that Kerry, who has been made bankrupt twice, is fighting his demands as she doesn't have the kind of cash is he is asking for.
A source said: "When they were together Kerry was the breadwinner and paid for everything for him.
"For him to turn around now and demand this is utterly ludicrous.
"How could anybody expect to find an amount of money like this?"
Kerry has been declared bankrupt twice - with the first time being at the High Court in London after she failed to pay the final £82,000 of a £417,000 tax bill.
She filed for bankruptcy for the second time at Wigan County Court in July 2013.
Kerry married third husband George in 2013 and they went on to become parents to a daughter, Kerry's fifth child Dylan-Jorge.
Kerry left George in 2015 following claims of domestic abuse.
A year later he was cleared of assaulting her after she withdrew her statement and the case against him collapsed due to a lack of evidence.

They appeared to reconcile earlier this year but later announced they had split for good.
Kerry has two daughters from her first marriage to Westlife star Brian McFadden, Molly, 16, and Lilly-Sue, 14.
She is also mum to Heidi, 10, and Maxwell, nine, with second husband Mark Croft, and three-year-old Dylan-Jorge.
