Cheryl Baker hopes Dancing on Ice will get her waist back and help her lose weight after menopause
CHERYL Baker signed up to Dancing on Ice to lose weight and get her waist back.
The Bucks Fizz singer is the oldest celebrity in this year's line-up but she isn't going to let her age stop her from giving it her all.
The 63-year-old wants to stay in the competition as long as possible so she can get in the best shape.
Explaining her reasons for signing up, she said: "In reality, losing weight.
"I’m hoping to shape up. I saw Linda Lusardi after she did Dancing on Ice and she looked fantastic, all of her muscles were in the right place and she didn’t have an ounce of fat on her.
"She said it was because of Dancing on Ice. That workout, you’re not just dancing, you’re really using all of your muscles so I’m looking forward to toning my body up."
Cheryl admitted her body wasn't what it once was after having children and going through 'the change'.
She continued: "After you have children and after you go through the menopause, all of a sudden you have no waist, I don’t know why.
"There is this thing that happens. You suddenly wake up after the menopause… I don’t need air, I don’t need breath, I just need them to squeeze my stomach in so I have some kind of shape.
"I’ve got boobs and I’ve got a bum, I just need a waist now."

Cheryl has been working hard outside of her ice-skating training to drop the pounds, whether it's with a spot of gardening or something more strenuous.
Discussing her typical weekend before Dancing on Ice takes over her life, she said: "On Sunday[s], I might go for a run, I like to do 5 miles and then I’ll prepare the dinner.
"We always have a lovely big Sunday roast and if possible have friends over."
Dancing on Ice returns on Sunday, January 6 at 6pm on ITV.
