DISGRACED Coronation Street actor Bruno Langley is already plotting his television comeback.

The shamed soap star, who was convicted of sexual assault in November, is hoping to return to showbiz as a director.

Bruno - who stepped out in public for the first time this year on Tuesday - has told pals that he wants to make a comeback behind the camera and is even considering script writing.

A source told The Sun Online: "Bruno knows he'll never act in any meaningful way again and that is the price he will pay for his actions.

"But he feels he's got so much to give in the future.

"He's also a talented writer and knows the business very well and has some very good skills as a director."

The source added: "Bruno's dream is to pick up his career behind the camera.

"He also writes scripts as well, so that is another avenue for him to explore in the future."

The news of Bruno's career plan comes as he was spotted out and about for the first time in 2018.

The 34-year-old sex pest, who joined Corrie as Todd Grimshaw 16 years ago, was spotted looking in the boot of his swish Audi A5 before climbing into the driving seat near his Manchester home.

Bruno was sacked from the ITV soap before admitting two charges of sexual assault in court.

The actor confessed to groping two women in a Manchester nightclub.

Since his appearance in the dock, Bruno has given a tearful apology, telling the : "I have no excuse, no one forced me to drink to such an extreme, but it is hard to explain why I would do anything as dreadful as that.

"It must have been awful for those women, and I am ashamed of myself. I’m truly sorry.

Shamed Bruno is now serving a 12 month community order involving a curfew and electronic tag.

He has also been placed on the sex offenders' register for five years and repaid his victims £250 each.
