Emmerdale’s Tom Waterhouse revealed as Joseph Tate as he admits his entire evil plan is to destroy Charity Dingle
The multi-millionaire businessman gleefully admitted his real identity and his plan for revenge in tonight’s episode
TOM Waterhouse has finally revealed his bombshell secret in Emmerdale - he’s Joseph Tate.
The multi-millionaire businessman - who is played by actor Ned Porteous in the ITV soap - gleefully admitted his real identity and his plan for revenge in tonight’s episode.
After being dumped by girlfriend Debbie in last night’s episode when she discovered he was behind the golf course that will destroy her family’s home, Joseph did everything he could to win her back.
But once he had won her back, and slept with her again, he sent in bailiffs to repossess the house he bought for her, leaving her homeless.
Meanwhile his bodyguard-cum-chauffeur Graham kept Charity captive after she discovered his horrifying secret, only returning her in time for Debbie to see her children’s belongings being dumped on the street.
Then as she struggled to understand what was happening, Joseph revealed his nasty side and celebrated his victory.
He told her: “Graham, right on time, and you've brought Charity along with you as well to join the fun. Excellent, just as planned.
“The Bentley's gone and it was all a bit short notice but everyone's on schedule too."
"Our little arrangement, it's over - this isn't some film with an improbable happy ending, it it Charity? Only men don't marry hookers usually.
"You think you've been sleeping with me in return for a house, a car, a ton of cash and you still can't see it for what it is. I even put the clothes on your back.
"Joseph Tate," he said as it dawned on them all who exactly Tom was.
Charity said: "Yeah, you're definitely Chris Tate's son, and just as poisonous."
But Joseph hit back and showed the venom he had been holding back: "You'd know more about poison than me, wouldn't you?
"The whore who drove my dad to suicide and got away with it - until now."
Joseph hasn’t been seen in the village since 2005 when he was taken away from the village by his aunt Zoe and cousin Jean.
Businesswoman Zoe had been forced to sell Home Farm to the incoming King family after her brother’s death left her in debt.
But she went out with a bang, blowing the mansion up as a parting gift to the millionaire incomers as she made her explosive exit.
As Tom, Joseph spoke of being left orphaned as a child before being sent to boarding school in England.
Actress Leah Bracknell, who played Zoe up until she left, was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer.
