Coronation Street fans’ horror as Phelan kills Luke by burning him ALIVE in twisted murder plot
Murderous psychopath has killed AGAIN – this time burning his foe Luke alive in a car
CORONATION Street fans were stunned tonight when Pat Phelan killed Luke Britton by burning him alive.
The psychopath decided to murder Luke after he realised the mechanic had found evidence which implicated him in Andy Carver’s disappearance.

During tonight’s episode, Luke warned Phelan he was going to go to the police after realising he knew about Andy.
The high intensity episode saw Phelan attacking Luke with a stone but after a struggle he managed to get away.
A car chase then ensued, with the pair speeding down a road before Phelan managed to force Luke off the road.
Reaching for his gun, Phelan calmly walked over to the car and shot Luke as he sat in the driver’s seat of his vehicle.

Some believed he would leave him for dead but Phelan, played by Connor McIntyre, was not content with leaving Luke to bleed to death.
Turning back to the car, he shot the petrol tank which engulfed the car in an enormous fireball.
Fans watched aghast as Luke burned to death and murderous Phelan smiled and walked away.

One tweeted: “Terminator Phelan at it again! Unf***ingbelievable!”
A second commented: “Corrie is just too disturbing to watch…how can Phelan just keep on getting away with it? Poor Luke.”
Another said: “WHAT? Have they just killed off Luke?”
A fourth told their followers: “OMG that was some nail biting stuff!!!”

Luke, played by Dean Fagan, said his exit came at the perfect time for him because he wanted to move onto pastures new.
He explained: “My decision to leave was based purely on my age and I felt that the time was right now to go and try new things.

“Also before I start to get older and want to settle down and life starts getting in the way of things and before I get too comfortable which is easy to do in this job, it is amazing job but I am also a person who likes to have new experiences.
