AMY Dowden is set to tie the knot with her dance partner Ben Jones after he went down on one knee on New Year's Eve.
Ben asked the Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer to marry him in front of the couple's friends and family on December 31 - and it was all caught on video.
Amy, 26, uploaded the video to her public Facebook page with the caption: "Hello 2018 💍❤️"
Family and friends were thrilled with the news, with many congratulating the happy couple on their engagement.
One wrote: "Congratulations Amy and Ben - what an amazing ending to a wonderful year for you both!"
Another said: "In a lifetime you meet lovely people most are dancers. Two of those lovely people are on a new journey together. We wish you all the luck in the world!"
A third added: "Oh wow! Congratulations Ben and Amy. So happy for you both! xxx"
Amy and Ben Amy are the current British National Champions.
Dowden - who is also one of the highest-ranking Ballroom and Latin American professional dancers in the UK - is a four-time British National Finalist and reached the semi-final of the World Championship in 2015. She appeared in Strictly for the first time in 2017.
During Strictly, Amy was paired with Brian Conley.
Of the move, Amy said: “Becoming a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing has made my wildest dreams come true, it does not feel real!
“I have always been proud of my Welsh roots and feel so honoured to be the first Welsh professional dancer on the most loved show on TV!”
When she's not competing as a professional dancer, Amy teaches Zumba locally to community groups and school children.
Ben and Amy have dating for several years.
