JONNY Mitchell has smugly admitted the other Celebrity Big Brother housemates are happy India Willoughby was evicted instead of him.

The Love Island lothario opened up to Big Brother and explained why he was crying after discovering he hadn't been evicted.

"It was instantly emotional," he told Big Brother in the diary room.

"Just seeing everyone's reactions, I know there was friction with India, but... I could tell people were just like happy that I was staying."

He added: "I dunno the last time I spurted a tear or anything but I didn't think it would be on live TV that's for sure."

Jonny also said: To be honest, I don't want to sound harsh but I think the house is happier to have me here rather than India."

India became the first celebrity to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house last night.

The journalist, 52, was up against Love Island star Jonny Mitchell but failed to win the vote to save so left the compound tonight.

Surprised about the applause she received as she left the house, India told Emma Willis: “Considering I was first out I was expecting a hail of bullets.”

However she was clearly upset about having to leave.

India lamented: “I had so much more to offer, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles. It is like a hurdles race, there are obstacles in the house and I hit a really big one on the gender question."

She added: “My confrontations have been Bambi-esque compared to previous years.”

Acknowledging that her argument with the men on the first night probably ruined her time in the house, India admitted she always wanted to cause trouble.

She said: “I peeved them on the first night with the question about gender and love, my tactics were all over the place and once your frozen out it’s difficult to get back in.

“I was psyched up to mix it a little bit, maybe have some confrontations, stir things up, cause trouble, but it’s not that house.”

The transgender star spoke frequently about her status in the house and frustrated housemates who wanted to get to know her beyond that, and now she realises she’s done herself an injustice.

India said: “I should have kept my gob shut and just waited for the questions to come and answered the questions one by one, instead of burying people under a load of statements and views.

“I feel I was fatally wounded in terms of the game of Big Brother early on. I don’t feel I’ve done myself justice, that is my one regret. Did I want to stay tonight? Yes. Did I give my best show? No.”

Much of the time in the house was defined by how scared she was of Courtney Act and drag queen, and despite becoming friends with Shane Janek, India says she’ll never get over her fear.

She admitted: “I don’t think I’ll ever completely lose that by Shane I’m cool with as I know what’s behind that exterior.”

Her time in the house has been both controversial and eyebrow raising.

The transgender star revealed in detail about how she picked her vagina, spoke about being turned on by Daleks, and shown off her boobs on a number of occasions.

However her comments have left viewers fuming, especially when she went as far to compare drag queens to the racist Black and White Minstrel shows.
