DANCING On Ice viewers were left cringing this evening as the judges gushed about Max Evan’s chemistry with his dance partner Ale Izquierdo – completely ignoring the fact he has a girlfriend.
The rugby player and his stunning Mexican skate partner wowed the audience and experts as they skated to Ed Sheeran – landing the highest score of the series so far – 25/ 40.
During their VT, Ale made no secret of her feelings toward Max, gushing: “I like the body.”
While Max was just as complimentary, saying: “She is real little stunner, should be fun.”
Following their performance, Holly Willoughby gushed: “It was very romantic.”
While Ashley Banjo said: “I loved that. Slowly pace routines are more exposing, not just for the routine but for the connection between the two of you.
“I don’t know what’s going on between the two of you, but I love it.”
Those watching at home were shocked at the insulation of romance, considering Max is dating model Lauren Jamieson.
One person tweeted: “How awkward was the obvious flirtation between max and his partner with his GF clearly cheering him on in the audience 🤔 #DancingOnIce.”
While a second wrote: “Feel for Max Evans’ girlfriend having to watch the VT of his partner saying he’s banging, then listen to all the judges comment on their chemistry and romance. Awks... #DancingOnIce.”

And a third remarked: “How awkward for Max's girlfriend tho #DancingOnIce #DOI.”
Max has been dating Lauren since November 2017, just weeks after he was spotted kissing Steph Waring on a night out.
Max, who is the brother of Thom Evans, split from his American glamour model wife Katy early in 2017.
