JAMES Middleton was spotted in the audience of Dancing On Ice tonight to watch his on/off girlfriend Donna Air skate.

The brother of Kate and Pippa Middleton could be seen cheering the star on as she put on an impressive show, despite having to get used to new skates at the last minute.

Donna, 38, previously revealed that James was likely to support her, suggesting they had reconciled following a brief split last year.

Speaking on Loose Women, she said: "I'm sure he'd like to see me wobble on the ice. I'm just trying to stand on one leg at the moment.

“I think he’ll just wait to see how I feel nearer the time – how nervous I am. Sometimes if you’re really nervous, you can’t get the job done."

Last year it was reported that Donna and James, 30, had gone their separate ways after dating for more than four years.

They were last seen in public at his sister Pippa Middleton's wedding to James Matthews in early 2017.

A friend previously told the Daily Mail: "They broke up some time ago. They managed to keep it quiet."

But the paper did report that James hoped to get back together with the star – and judging by his appearance this evening they look very much back on track.

A close pal said: "James hopes the split will not be permanent."

Prior to that, James publicly declared his love for Donna – who started her career in Byker Grove, and admitted he would be keen to have children one day.

He said: "We are thinking about where we are going next.

"I love Donna very much. Marriage is absolutely not something I'm scared of but it isn't necessarily the be-all and end-all.

"We are quite purposeful, forward-thinking people, so we needed wind in our sails in order to progress.

"She makes me very happy [and] I think I make her very happy. I want children. I've said that before. I will have children, but you'll have to wait."
