EMMERDALE fans spotted a bizarre blunder in tonight's episode of the soap.

In tonight's episode of the ITV soap Joseph Tate grandly moved into his "childhood home" Home Farm and began reminiscing about it only there was a small problem with his memory.

Joseph was happily reminiscing about his childhood in Home Farm as he moved back in, looking at the rooms where his father killed himself to frame his step-mother, and where his grandfather was murdered by his step-grandmother, or where his aunt fought off a rapist.

But as he took his trip down memory lane, he seemed to forgot one rather important point - he'd never actually lived in the house he was standing in.

"I really want to go in there," he said very dramatically of the room his dad died in.

However, slightly problematic was the fact that the house was blown up as Joseph left it the first time and then extensively remodelled beyond all recognition meaning the house he grew up in essentially no longer exists.

Viewers couldn't help but point out the seeming gaffe.

One wrote: "Home Farms been rebuilt since your Dad died Joe @emmerdale"

Another one said: "Home farm's been changed that much even i don't reconise it.. #Emmerdale."

When Joseph first left the house as a child, he was driven away with his aunt Zoe and cousin Jean.

But because Zoe was really quite resentful of losing her house to the Kings, she decided to flog it and then completely blow it up, destroying the house in the process as she smiled at the end of the driveway.

The house was totally rebuilt and looks nothing like the home Joseph claimed to remember so fondly.

The dated decor and layout was rebuilt to resemble a more modern country home and yet still Joseph is convinced he remembers it fondly.

Still, it doesn't look like he should get too attached as the house will probably be destroyed by Debbie Dingle soon.
