The mere though of Audrey Roberts drunk in a strip club should bring joy to Corrie fans everywhere
BETHANY Platt is going to be caught lapdancing by her drunk grandmother and great grandmother in Coronation Street.
Actress Lucy Fallon - who plays the grooming survivor in the ITV soap - has teased the hilarious scenes Gail and Audrey turn up to the strip club and get hammered before their granddaughter walks onto the stage ready to strip.
She said on This Morning: It’s hilarious when her family come to watch.
"They may or may not get quite drunk as well. It’s a really good scene."
However, while the scene might be hilarious, what comes before it is horrifying as Bethany frames Gary Windass for groping her and gets him beaten up in the process.
Bethany will be left horrified when her mum's ex-boyfriend follows her to work at the strip club and tries to drag her home.
Quick thinking Bethany, who is determined to keep Gary away from her mum after he cheated on her with Nicola Rubinstein, pretends she has never seen Gary before.
The burly bouncers then step in and kicks Gary out and beats him up in the process.
Actor Mikey North said: "He is shocked, he is not expecting to see her there and the last thing he expects is to see her dancing!
"It’s a big surprise when he walks in and sees her scantily clad.
"Gary tries to get Bethany to come home but she doesn’t like that and wants to stay. Bethany calls the bouncer to step in and he does so in a quite forceful way.
"Gary tries to resist a little bit which doesn’t help… the bouncer goes to town on him.
"He is really smashed up, he is badly, badly beaten up. It’s the last thing that he needs with everything else going on."
When Craig’s called to a fracas at the lap dancing club he’s appalled to see that Gary’s been beaten up.
Craig takes Bethany home, where devoid of any shame, she tells Sarah she’s been working as a lap dancer and Gary came into the club and tried to grope her.
Horrified Sarah heads to the hospital to confront her ex-boyfriend.
However, when Gary speaks to Sarah and apologises again, she starts to come round and apologises to him because he's been beaten up because of her family again.
Meanwhile, it's bad news for Bethany as her mum, grandmother and great-grandmother decide to have an afternoon out at the strip club.
Bethany's horrified as she walks out onto the stage in a skimpy outfit to see her family settled into a booth ready to watch her strip.
But when Bethany's boss Lulu becomes suspicious of the pensioner guests, Audrey, Gail and Sarah end up getting Bethany sacked but then Sarah has an announcement of her own that leaves her family shocked.
