EMMERDALE fans were left reeling at the end of part two of tonight's show as Debbie Dingle confronted Joseph Tate of over destroying her family's ancestral home.
Viewers had watched as hired thugs working as builders began to bulldoze the Dingle house with Noah and Samson inside.
The workmen had been ordered to knock down the cottage by Joseph.
Evil multi-millionaire Joseph was apparently unconcerned that his half-brother Noah was caught up in the devastation.
However, in the second episode viewers were left amazed as the young boys became aware the house was being attacked when smoke and rubble engulfed the room where they had been playing on virtual reality head-sets.
It didn't take long for the roof to cave in and trap them inside.
Social media users reacted to the shocking scenes on the Yorkshire-based soap.
However, not everyone was on the Dingle's side.
Many fans tweeted that the family were getting what they deserved.
Viewers saw Noah and Samson saved by Eric Pollard, who fought with the builders, and Graham Foster.
The builders told Graham: "You'll be hearing from our boss."
The Dingle family discovered what Joe had done when they returned home from the party.
Debbie Dingle then went back again to confront Joe about why he had destroyed the cottage.
Without acknowledging his part, he then offered for the family to stay at Home Farm.
