DERMOT O'Leary was dramatically confronted by a stage invader at tonight's National Television Awards.
The host of the evening was pictured calming down an activist as he attempted to run onto the stage during the live broadcast.
Security moved in swiftly to remove the protester before he could make it fully onto the stage that was being watched by millions of viewers.
In stark contract, viewers were in hysterics when Bradley Walsh crashed the stage as This Morning scooped the gong for best daytime show.
The host of The Chase snuck onto the stage and stood at the back of the cast after the ITV morning show beat his quiz to the award.
Viewers flocked to social media to laugh at his display as he stood alongside the cast waving and smiling.
One wrote: "Bradley Walsh getting on stage for an award he hadn't won has to be the highlight of the NTAs."
A second tweeted: "Listen the friendship between Ant and Dec, Holly and Phil and Bradley Walsh is the purest and greatest thing ever and it just makes me want to cry, actual national treasures."
"Still dying at Bradley Walsh onstage with the This Morning gang #NTAs," added a third.
Another tweeted: "Bradley Walsh going on stage with the crew of This Morning has made my year and it's only January #NTAs"
Others called for Bradley to win an award for his gatecrashing skills.
One wrote: "Ok but Bradley Walsh needs an award NOW he is the best #NTAs."
A second said: "Some one out there just give Bradley Walsh an NTA award for just being Bradley Walsh."

Sadly as The Chase lost out to This Morning, Bradley also lost out to Ant and Dec for the best presenter award.
