Katie Price and Peter Andre ‘kiss and make up’ after they come face to face at the National Television Awards
The former couple previously had a very acrimonious split but have well and truly put any issues behind them
KATIE Price and Peter Andre kissed and made up after they came face to face at the National Television Awards.
The former couple, who are parents to Junior and Princess, were married between 2005 and 2009, when they acrimoniously split.
But last night they showed bygones were bygones as they put on a cordial display at the biggest night in TV when they both ended up in the same box.
An insider told The Sun Online: “Katie was in the box when Pete walked in. Everyone froze and thought it would be dead awkward.
“They smiled, hugged one another, pecked on the cheek and went their separate ways.”
The source continued: “Although there's a lot of history between them, Pete knows Katie is going through a rough time with her mum who he knows well.”
It comes after we previously revealed that the Mysterious Girl singer had been supporting his ex following the news her mum Amy only has three years to live.
Last year Amy was told by doctors she has Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis – leaving Katie heartbroken.
Katie, 39, and Pete, 44, had previously struggled to maintain a friendship despite both remarrying.
They regularly exchanged cross words in magazine interviews and rowed over choices for their two children.
Just last month a furious Katie blasted Pete for not allowing Princess and Junior to spend Christmas with her at her ailing mum’s home.
She said: "This could be my mum's last Christmas, and Princess and Junior won't be there [this year]. I'm gutted.
"We don't have Junior and Princess because they share it with their dad, so it won't be as exciting as usual. I wish we could share Christmas Day with them. But it's one year with him, the other with me."
Katie is currently married to Kieran Hayler and is mum to Bunny and Jett, as well as Harvey from her relationship with Dwight Yorke.
Peter is married to Emily MacDonagh and they are parents to Theodore and Amelia.
Meanwhile Katie was clearly in the mood to party last night as she stay out until the early hours with Michelle Heaton, long after the rest of her Loose Women pals had left.
