David Beckham is moving to Miami to launch his football team and is leaving his family at home

David is moving stateside to live his dream of managing his own football team

DAVID Beckham has revealed he’s moving to America to live out his dream of owning his own football club.

The former England captain revealed he had the full backing of his family and said his wife Victoria would visit with their kids, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 12, and six-year-old Harper, as much as possible.

Speaking at a press conference in Miami, David explained: “I want to thank my family.

“Brooklyn and my wife Victoria, who is at home with the other kids.

“They’ve been through the good times and the bad times and I owe them everything.”

“Whenever they [my family] can, they’ll be coming over.”

He confirmed Victoria would remain with the children in London during school term time but would be living there during the holidays.

During the press conference, they played a video which showed his wife Victoria.

She said: “We can’t wait to be spending much more time in Miami.”

Little Harper also had some input and said: “Hi daddy, I can’t wait to see your first football match!”

Other stars including Serena Williams, Will Smith, Jay Z and Jennifer Lopez, also appeared on the video.

David, 42, said he couldn't wait to get started with his MLF franchise which has taken four years to get moving.

David part-owns the franchise with Bolivian entrepreneur Marcelo Claure, who he met after the Englishman’s business partner Simon Fuller introduced them following a chance meeting at J-Lo's house.

Speaking about the process earlier in the day, David told Miami's Local 10 News station: “It has been a process. It's been painful at times.

“I think the fact that it has taken this long, the fact that it's taken four years actually has worked as a positive.

“I've always believed in the project. That's why, for me, I never gave up. I knew Miami was the city. I knew this was going to be special.

“There have been many (hurdles). I'm a persistent person and I don't like to lose.”
