ANN Widdecombe has dressed up as Mel B from the Spice Girls as part of a task on Celebrity Big Brother.
The former Tory MP did not appear to know the words to the song Wannabe that was at number one in the UK singles chart for seven weeks.
Ann dressed as Mel B, also known as Scary Spice, and was joined by housemates Jess Impiazzi as Victoria Beckham, Ashley James as Melanie C, Courtney Act as Geri Halliwell, and Wayne Sleep as Emma Bunton.
While Posh, Sporty, Ginger and Baby appeared familiar with the song, Ann seemed not to know the girl group’s mega hit.
The five housemates had to perform the track live as part of the task and Mel B’s lyrics were covered by the other girls, while Ann hissed at various points. A musical device that does not feature in the original recording.
Wayne, Courtney, Jess and Ashley performed a movement routine, based around dancing about Ann. While Ann, who lasted until week ten of Strictly Come Dancing in 2010, appeared a little confused about the steps.
Tonight, viewers will also witness Malika Haqq breaking down in the Diary Room as she asks Big Brother for news about her pregnant best friend Khloe Kardashian.
Khloe announced she was pregnant with her first child shortly before Malika entered the Celebrity Big Brother house.
Crying, Mailka told Big Brother: “My best friend is pregnant and I haven’t spoken to her in a month. This is really hard for me.”
“I just want to know she is ok and that’s she’s happy. I love all of them so much that I am sitting here crying about it.”
Composing herself a little bit, she said: “I know that when I leave I’ll be able to reflect upon my time here very differently from the way I am reflecting it in here and I just think that is part of the process for making changes or stepping outside your comfort zone.
“I think the closer that I am to leaving, I know how ready I am to leave.”
Ann, Amanda Barrie, Malika, Ashley, Shane Lynch and Courtney’s alter-ego Shane Jenek face eviction tonight.
