EASTENDERS actor Harry Reid has hinted his character Ben Mitchell could return to Albert Square.
The 25-year-old bid farewell to the BBC One soap last month, as Ben headed off to France with a chunk of the heist money.
But speaking to the , Harry hinted that Ben's new life on the Continent might not work out, and he could end up back on the Square to face the music with dad Phil.
He said: "Ben loves his dad and will always speak to him if he beckons, and he has beckoned so I imagine they will speak.
"I think that ultimately they'll sort it out between them and will hopefully have a very nice Christmas 2018…
"If I do pop up in an episode, I'm speaking to my agent to sort out the money."
Realising he may have revealed a bit of a spoiler, he quickly added: "I think I have given away too much."
Ben left Albert Square on a ferry from Dover bound for Calais, having stolen the money from the heist from under dad Phil's nose.
Unfortunately for him, returning character Mel Owen tracked him down - and on the cross over to Europe, pleaded with her friend's son to reconsider his plan to do a runner.
Refusing to budge from his plan, the pair's friendly attitude soon gave way to something darker.
Realising she was fighting a losing battle, Mel warned Ben he "can't outrun himself" and would be "dead within the week" if he fled the ship with the cash.
But as Ben walked away from her, a livid Mel called one of her partners-in-crime and chillingly told them: "He's all yours."

However, things clearly weren't going to plan for either of them - and as Ben arrived at customs he discovered that the plastic bag full of cash he'd been carrying was a fake.
Instead, he'd been walking around with stack of Walford Gazettes in its place - meaning he'd been double crossed.
Left with an envelope full of cash, Ben appeared to look on the bright side and headed off for his new life on the Continent.
