Jeremy Kyle to marry for a third time — after proposing to his children’s former nanny
TELLY host Jeremy Kyle is getting married for a third time after proposing to his former nanny 16 years his junior, The Sun can reveal.
The ITV star, 52, popped the question to Vicky Burton, 36, on the Grenadines Islands in the Caribbean last weekend.
The engagement comes just over 12 months since the couple made their relationship public.
A source close to the star said: “Jeremy is completely loved up with Vicky - she’s put a smile back on his face.
“He chose the Grenadines because it’s a very romantic place and they’re ecstatically happy.
“Both sets of families are absolutely chuffed for them.”
Vicky was nanny to Jeremy and ex-wife Carla Germaine’s three children Alice, 14, Ava, 12, and Henry, eight.
They’ve known each other for over a decade but became an item 15 months after Jeremy announced his split from wife of 13 years in September 2015.
Carla, who met Jeremy while he was a radio DJ when she won a competition to marry a stranger, cited her husband’s “unreasonable behaviour” in their divorce, but England polo player James Carr, 26, later claimed he’d had an affair with the then Mrs Kyle.
Confirming his new romance with Vicky during an appearance on ITV show Loose Women in February last year, Jeremy said: “It’s a new relationship, a new chapter. I’m very happy thank you very much, let’s move on with our lives.”
But the relationship with Vicky, who used to go on family holidays with them, didn’t go down well with Carla
Speaking to The Sun shortly after the pair went public, Carla said: “I’m in shock – she was my nanny for nine years, she looked after my babies.”
Jeremy and Vicky were recently snapped on holiday in Barbados during a boat party also attended by Lord Lloyd-Webber.
Jeremy’s first marriage to Kirsty Rowley ended in 1990 after a year after their daughter Harriet, now 17, was born.
