Who is Mariam Musa? Survival of the Fittest 2018 star hailing from Surrey
Mariam Musa is one of the women going for glory (and maybe some love) on Survival of the Fittest
If you thought the South African desert was hot enough - it's heating up by the second as the winter Love Island's contestants battle it out.
Mariam Musa says she is going to play the nice card on Survival Of The Fittest to go all the way to the finishing line - but how will she use her kindness to her advantage?
Who is Mariam Musa?
Marium Musa is a 23-year-old department manager and vlogger from Surrey.
She says that her niceness is her strength and that her friends would describe her as 'caring and reliable' but she's willing to use those assets to her advantage if it means winning the show.
But on the flip side she says she's often too quick to trust people and in this scenario that could 'smack her in the face'.
She's already had a claim to fame - she went to school with Disclosure and can remember sharing a desk with one of them in Art.
What has Mariam Musa said about Survival Of The Fittest?
Mariam says she's going to try and keep her head in the game and steer clear of the lads, although she's desperate to get married so her head could be turned.
The type of guy who would catch her eye would be a 'dark skinned guy, with chiselled cheeks, defined and muscly body, over six foot tall' and if he had a beard that would be a bonus.
The vlogger can't stand loud, scatty girls and admits that when she's faced with moody, negative people, she often rolls her eyes.
But although she's kind and caring, Mariam could end up rubbing people up the wrong way as she says she's super messy.
What is Survival of The Fittest about?
Survival Of The Fittest sees a group of hot young singles sent to the South African Savannah to take part in the ultimate battle of the sexes, involving mental and physical challenges.
But the strength of the ladies and gents is not the only thing being tested.
Throughout the series, the contestants have the opportunity to romance the opposite sex - but only at the expense of their team's chances in the competition.
Will they choose dates over mates, and find themselves in bed with the enemy? You can count on it...
As with Love Island, viewers are able to vote off the contestants that don't tickle their fancy.
They are also responsible for choosing which of the sexes comes out on top.
