The new pictures from the film show him "under attack" by a swarm of 10,000 mosquitoes whilst confined in a small glass box.

Wearing a tight black t-shirt which reveals his tattoos, the 42-year-old can be seen holding onto his arm, as though to show he has been bitten.

David was filmed as part of a So Millions Can Live campaign which is being launched with an aim of helping to eradicate malaria, which is spread by mosquitoes.

The film is designed to highlight that hundreds of thousands of people still die from the world's oldest disease - that can be prevented.

He has admitted that wife Vick will prefer a romantic date instead of watching the two European giants go head-to-head.

David spent four years in the Spanish capital before his move to LA Galaxy in 2007 and retired in 2013 after five months at PSG.
