Inside the ‘new Love Island’ lodge with treehouse, piles of condoms and outdoor showers for ‘mate time’ as sexy singletons find love safari style on Survival Of The Fittest
THE Love Island villa will be put to shame when stars of new show Survival Of The Fittest move into luxury accommodation The Lodge.
Contestants will swap The Hideaway for The Lookout where they can enjoy some alone time in the king size bed that comes adorned with pillows and fur throws.
Teams sleep in their own boys and girls dorms but there could be some much-welcomed bed hopping as no doors separate the two areas.
And condoms will be supplied in preparation of sexy moments under the covers between the twelve competitors.
The Lodge features a pool that overlooks an African waterhole where contestants may want to cool off after competing against each other in gruelling challenges.
Contestants will each have their own Apple smartwatch to instruct them to their next challenge or romantic date.
The watches will be kept on an internal system so they can't exchange messages with each other as Love Islanders did last year.
Teammates will be living in the African Savannah so monkeys, frogs, lizards or even snakes could visit them and lighting conductors have been built in case of tropical storms.
The shower and bathtub are located outside and the teams can prepare for nights out at the beauty station.
There’s no escaping the cameras with 76 installed to capture all the action from inside The Lodge that also features a natural fire pit, gym and fully equipped kitchen.
It took nine weeks to construct the site and lucky teammates will be living there for three weeks.
Interior designer Matt Weeks, who also created the Love Island villa, has paid homage to the African setting with wooden floors, rustic trunks at the end of each bed and animal motifs.
A team of male contestants will face a group of females in the ultimate battle of the sexes when the show launches on Sunday.
The likes of Danny Dyer’s daughter Dani and Georgia Toffolo’s ex James Middleton feature in the line-up of twelve hopefuls competing in challenges to win the £40,000 prize.
