Survival of the Fittest viewers hooked on ‘new Love Island’ as it kicks off with flirting, a ‘snake’ in The Lodge and a VERY dramatic exit
The ITV2 show sent viewers into a frenzy thanks to it's Love Island format and some VERY sexy singletons
SURVIVAL of the Fittest sent temperatures soaring this evening as it kicked off with sexy singletons, a dramatic exit and some dodgy flirting.
As the 12 competitors flexed their muscles and competed in the ultimate battle of the sexes, viewers were gripped and horrified as Dani Dyer's daughter suffered a nasty injury and ultimately had to leave the show.
But that wasn't the only drama in the episode, as Georgia Toff's ex James found himself being branded a snake after he told the girls exactly what the boys were planning.
And things really heated up after The Lodgers enjoyed a few drinks and started talking about who fancied who - but who will be the first to hook up with their rival team?
Those watching at home couldn't get enough of it and took to Twitter branding it the 'new Love Island'.
One person wrote: “Lovin @ITV2Fittest. It’s as if Survivor and Love Island had a magnificent reality TV baby. #survivalofthefittest.”
While another wrote: “I love it already #SurvivalOfTheFittest.”
And someone else remarked: “Brilliant, more beautiful people reality tv for the next few weeks 🙄🤣 (I’m already addicted🙈) #SurvivalOfTheFittest.”
The show started with the 12 singletons arriving two separate safari jeeps, a Girl and a Boy from each team got dropped off and were faced with a walk over a bridge across The Waterhole to The Lodge.
First up was Dani and Callum who wasted no time in cracking open the bubbles as they enjoyed a giggle.
They were followed by fitness models Jenny and David, Tia and Warren, Georgia Toffolo's ex James and Georgie, Mariam and Ryan, while the final pair to enter The Lodge were Tristan and Georgie.
Viewers couldn't quite believe the buff bodies on show and took to Twitter comment on the wide array of muscles on show.
It didn't take long for the girls to start comparing their boobs and as Dani complained she had the smallest chest, Jenny and Tia encouraged her to bounce her chest against theirs.
But just as they got settled, Laura Whitmore arrived to reveal all about the next few weeks.
She told them they will be going head to head in a series of team challenges that will test them mentally and physically as they battle it out for three weeks to win £40,000 in cash.
Teams have to win or they will risk being replaced by a new arrival - and their first challenge was the following night.
Meanwhile Callum asked Dani for cuddle but she quickly shut him down as they enjoyed a bit of flirty banter.
Things turned a little bit rude though, when there was a mix up over the use of the word 'tugging'.
Conversation soon turned to Dani’s dad and he couldn’t quite believe it was Danny Dyer – but despite her telling him not to tell anyone, he rushed to tell the lads who warned him: “I wouldn’t mess with her.”
Those watching at home found the whole exchange amusing and compared Dani to Marcel from Love Island, who regularly reminded people he used to be in Blazin' Squad.
They weren't the only ones flirting though, as Tristan and Georgie appeared to have some chemistry as they discussed their upcoming trial.
Later in the evening Tia opened up to Jenny about growing up as a boy after she was originally raised as a male before doctors discovered she was female.
Elsewhere as the lads discussed who they fancied on the bridge, Ryan Cleary revealed that he was bisexual.
Meanwhile Toff's ex James was soon in the girls' bad books as they suspected of him trying to flirt with everyone.
He was also branded a 'snake' by the boys after he told Georgie what their tactics were.
After a night of getting to know each other, the singletons started their second day with their first challenge.
The players had to complete an obstacle course before taking on one of six different mini challenges before running back to their team to stop the clock.
It soon took a dramatic turn as Dani was rushed to hospital after dislocating her shoulder, but the rest continued to see who would come out on top.
The team with the quickest overall time won - and this time the boys were victorious meaning the girls will now face the public vote. One person will leave The Lodge tomorrow.
