DANI Dyer has spoken for the first time after being forced to quit Survival of the Fittest after dislocating her shoulder.
The daughter of actor Danny has left after just one episode following the nasty accident during the first challenge.
Speaking in a new clip about the incident, Dani admitted she was “gutted” but would just have been a “spare part” if she stayed.
Wearing her arm in a sling, she said: “So for medical reasons I can’t take part in the challenges, I would be no use in a sling.
“I would just be sitting around not being able to compete and I am not allowed to move this for a week so it wouldn’t be fair and there’s just no point. I would just be an extra spare part.”
Discussing her time on the show, she continued: “My experience, the lead up going into the lodge was amazing.”
The aspiring actress went on to reveal she would be rooting for the girls to win from her sofa.
“I can’t put into words how amazing it was so I am gutted I can’t do any challenges but I am rooting for the girls, all the way, we have to win. Especially now we have win, they have to do it for me,” she said.
“I am going to sit back and rest and watch every single night and hope they win every challenge.”
During tonight’s episode viewers watching in horror as barmaid Dani dislocated a shoulder as she landed badly after careering headfirst down a waterslide while filming a challenge.
She was treated on site then taken to hospital on Saturday afternoon — a day after entering the ITV2 show’s lodge in the South African wild.
Producers decided she was not fit to continue on the show from the makers of Love Island.

A source told The Sun: “It was a really nasty fall. Dani knew straight away she had done serious damage but tried to continue as she didn’t want to seem like a wuss. It was too much, though, and she was taken to hospital."
“Due to the nature of the series, where the boys and girls battle tough physical challenges, as well as mental ones, the producers decided Dani would have to be replaced. It’s a shame for everyone because she was looking forward to taking part and ITV were chuffed to sign her.”
