Paddy McGuinness cancels Radio 1 appearance after getting close to Nicole Appleton on night out without wife Christine
PADDY McGuinness suddenly cancelled his appearance on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw this morning amid the fallout of those cosy Nicole Appleton pictures.
Host Nick 33, told listeners yesterday that the 44-year-old comedian was due to appear on the lively slot, but insiders tell The Sun Online that Paddy suddenly dropped out as the speculation around his marriage intensifies.
A source said: "He was booked to appear on today's show, but last yesterday afternoon he cancelled.
“It was really last minute."
Yesterday Paddy looked downcast as he was spotted for the first time since The Sun published pictures of him walking arm-in-arm with Nicole, 43, on Friday night, while his wife Christine was 200 miles away at home with their three young children.
Dressed in a dark blue tracksuit and cap, he remained uncharacteristically straight-faced as he walked with his minder to an awaiting taxi.
His appearance comes shortly after wife Christine, 29, was pictured driving her snow covered Range Rover earlier in the day, wearing black shades.
She was later seen sobbing behind the wheel in a car park, wiping tears from underneath her sunglasses.
Heading out of her local Waitrose earlier today, the mum-of-three was dressed all in black and was still clearly wearing her wedding ring.
Keeping a straight expression, Christine hid her eyes behind an oversized pair of sunglasses before jumping into her car.
She then wiped tears away from her face before fixing her shades and driving home.
Later on in the day, the fitness fanatic was joined by a friend as they had some much needed R and R at a hair salon in Alderley Edge, near to the home she shares with her husband.
Christine hinted that there could be trouble in her marriage to Paddy after he was spotted enjoying a night out with All Saints star Nicole.
She posted a Marilyn Monroe quote on Instagram reading: “I believe everything happens for a reason.
