Richard Madeley claims Liam and Noel Gallagher ‘robbed his house’ before hitting the big time in Oasis
RICHARD Madeley shocked his Good Morning Britain co-stars this morning by claiming Liam and Noel Gallagher once "robbed his house".
The 61-year-old stood in for Piers Morgan on today's show and after a clip of Liam at last night's NME Awards was shown, Richard made his shock claim.

He said: "Him and his brother used to live quite close to us when we used to live in Manchester and they admitted in the early stages of their career they did a little bit of robbery, a little bit of burglary and we think they did our house.
"I spoke to them about it, and we spoke about it, it was many years ago and they've probably forgotten about it now and they said 'yeah I think we did that one yeah, I think we did that one, went in through the window yeah'".
Richard then laughed along with newsreader Sean Fletcher, who said: "That's brilliant."
Meanwhile co-host Kate Garraway sat open-mouthed and said: "Oh my goodness, oh crikey."

Richard appeared to be referring to a tongue in cheek interview Liam's brother Noel, 50, gave years ago to Melody Maker.
He said at the time: "We have burgled houses and nicked car stereos, and we like girls and swear and take the p***."
However it isn't the first time Richard has made the surprising claim, having previously told Absolute Radio how he and wife Judy Finnigan had been asleep at home when someone broke in.
He said back in 2011: "We had put it to them that maybe they were the ones who came through our house at 4am in the morning.

“Unfortunately they can’t remember as they were out of it.”
The comments come just a few weeks after Liam, 45, exclusively told The Sun he still takes drugs despite his age.

And the dad of four says that while he regrets not being able to indulge like he used to, his dabbling means he is now powerless to prevent his kids Lennon, Molly, Gene and Gemma from experimenting.
Liam said: “I ain’t got a leg to stand on. I do drugs.
“Not as much as I’d like to, no, because I’ve got to do this singing now so it takes its toll on the voice and that. But when I get a bit of downtime, I’m going to go in hard.

“So when they come and do drugs I can’t say, ‘Don’t do drugs’."
