Naomi Campbell and Skepta flee Liam Gallagher’s private post-NME Awards bash together after one minute
SUPERMODEL NAOMI CAMPBELL and grime star SKEPTA confirmed their relationship at the NME Awards – but didn’t stick around long.
Naomi cosied up to the rapper at his table at the O2 Academy Brixton on Wednesday night, three weeks after The Sun revealed they were secretly dating.
But things weren’t quite as snug at the after-party.
Naomi spent just 11 minutes at a private bash at The Ivy hosted by LIAM GALLAGHER — and just after midnight, Skepta arrived and left within a minute.
Attempting to throw people off the scent, the couple came and left separately to avoid being photographed as a pair, but still hopped into the same car to head home together.
I don’t blame them for fleeing the party though, after the sound system broke down and the barely audible music was instead played through tiny speakers.
I can think of a few other things the couple might have wanted to do on Valentine’s Day.
They did, however, hint at their love while on stage at the awards bash.
And I’m thankful they did, because it was about the most exciting thing to happen at the snoozefest ceremony.
Skepta paid tribute to his famous other half while accepting his NME Innovation Award with grime collective BOY BETTER KNOW.
He said: “Thanks, thanks, to all the women, all the ladies that have been holding us down.
For managers to girlfriends and all that stuff.
“Thanks to all the ladies. Girl better know.”
And Naomi did the same, having snuck into the venue via a back door to present the Best Album award to Londoner J HUS.
Announcing the prize, she said: “I’m so proud to be part of the collective group of musicians here tonight, to see Skepta with Liam Gallagher.”
Skepta shared a snap of Naomi presenting the award to J Hus on Twitter alongside two love hearts — but cut their heads off the photo.
That’s one way to show you care.

Nice to see through, Leigh-Anne
LEIGH-ANNE PINNOCK is clearly missing LITTLE MIX’s incredible wardrobe from last year’s Glory Days tour.
The singer jumped at the opportunity to glam up as she stepped out for the Nailing Mental Health Valentine’s Day Ball at The Hurlingham Club in South West London.
And fans got an eyeful as she wowed in an eye-popping metallic mesh dress which showed off every inch of her amazing figure.
Leigh-Anne was joined at the bash by footballer boyfriend ANDRE GRAY who treated her to flowers and a pair of high heels earlier in the day.
He’s certainly a keeper.

PROFESSOR GREEN dropped new tune Unruly yesterday and now can’t wait for his next album.
He said: “The music is going to do all the talking for itself – it is very, very unapologetic. Unruly is just what it says.”
Noel’s a Jong-Un
LIAM GALLAGHER is as green as his Parka jacket with envy when it comes to brother NOEL’s success.
In a foul-mouthed rant, he branded his sibling a worse villain than DONALD TRUMP and KIM JONG-UN.
I’ve mocked up Noel as the North Korean tyrant.
Liam let rip as he picked up the Godlike Genius gong at the NME awards six years after Noel won the same gong – and he is still bitter.
He said: “Without a doubt it’s long overdue. If you’re going to give one brother one, you should give the other.
“I was a bit put out on that. It’s not like I’ve got a spring in my step.
“He’s worse than Kim Jong- f***ing-Tong and Trump. He’s the biggest liar and faker in the business. I don’t speak to that c***.
“He’s too busy writing cosmic pop and trying to convince Americans that’s the way forward.”
After winning an award, you’d think Liam would be a bit more upbeat.

FATBOY SLIM is marking the 20th anniversary of hit album You’ve Come A Long Way, Baby by re-releasing it – in a pizza box.
Fans will be able to get a special- edition vinyl version in the quirky packaging from March 16.
Roman launches music Game Show
ROMAN KEMP is launching a music gameshow on ITV, after teaming up with JAMES CORDEN on the idea.
The son of SPANDAU BALLET legend MARTIN KEMP is seen as a rising star by TV execs, who have earmarked the series for this autumn.
Roman said of the “Buzzcocks-type” show: “It’s for music lovers who want to have fun and a bit of escapism. I’m fronting it.
“I took the idea to James Corden and his production company so we’ve been working on it for a while.”
Glasto-no for Spice
VICTORIA BECKHAM got stuck into the Glastonbury mud last summer but won’t be bringing her SPICE GIRLS along if she returns next year.
Festival organiser MICHAEL EAVIS has rejected the chance to sign the girls up for the Sunday afternoon legends slot in 2019, after GERI HORNER told me they would be up for performing.
In an exclusive chat at this week’s NME awards, Michael said: “Oh no, I’ve already sorted it. We’ve already got one.”
Geri spoke about the reunion while guest editing Bizarre last week and was up for putting on a Glastonbury show.
BEE GEES star BARRY GIBB, LIONEL RICHIE, DOLLY PARTON and DAME SHIRLEY BASSEY have all previously filled the special spot.
US sources claimed Victoria, Geri, MEL B, EMMA BUNTON and MEL C have now signed on for a series of concerts in the UK and the US, as I revealed they would on Monday.
Glasto’s loss is everyone else’s gain.
Stranger Flings
JAMES BAY has been binge-watching Netflix sci-fi Stranger Things.
I can reveal he has cast actress NATALIA DYER – Nancy in the hit series – in the video for his comeback single Wild Love.
The promo will be unveiled next week, but I’ve got a first look of the pair together here.
At Wednesday’s NME bash he also revealed his upcoming album has been influenced by the music of Sesame Street.

- CANCELLED: BEST British Male Brit Award nominee LOYLE CARNER pulled out of a performance on Radio 1 yesterday after a row with the station about his choice of tunes. He said on Twitter: “Sadly I won’t be in the Live Lounge today. Even though I wrote three covers, I was told none were ‘big enough hits’.”
- COLLAB 1: US rapper AZEALIA BANKS has scored an unlikely collaboration with MEL B for next single, Anna Wintour – or so she claims on Instagram. After she teased the tune – named after Vogue’s editor-in- chief – in January, she told fans that the track will be released next month.
- COLLAB 2: KREPT AND KONAN hinted they have another collaboration with ED SHEERAN on their upcoming album, after teaming up with Ed on 2015 track Dreams. Trying to stay coy on the prospect, Krept said: “We got him on the last album, so it could be a possibility . . . a reunion.”
- ALBUM: NORMANI KORDEI hasn’t filled fans of FIFTH HARMONY with hope that the group will stay together for much longer, after I revealed they are on the brink of splitting. Explaining she has started work on a solo album, she said of the project: “I’m in the beginning stages, so maybe about 30 per cent.”
