Emmerdale stars Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden marry in secret castle wedding
EMMERDALE stars Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have tied the knot in a secret castle wedding.
The couple met on set of the ITV soap back in 2007 and have two children together, Buster, seven, and two-year-old Bowie.
The pair didn't even tell guests they were getting married and instead told them they were attending Charley's 30th birthday party.
Their 100 guests arrived at Ripley Castle in Harrogate where they were told the surprise news that they would be getting married instead.
Charley then invited her bridesmaids - Lucy Pargeter, Roxy Shahidi, Zoe Henry, Charlotte Bellamy, Sammy Winward, Emma Atkins, Kate Oates and her sister Cassie - and her on-screen dad Jeff Hordley to accompany her down the aisle.
She explained: "I couldn't not have Jeff as part of my day as he's my best male friend, so I wanted to make him my brides-man."
Charley's brother Jamie Lomas, who recently appeared on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, gave her away.
Their Emmerdale co-star Lucy Pargeter was one of the bridesmaids and stunned in a leopard print dress.
Speaking about her big day to OK! magazine, Charley said: "That moment when we announced what we were doing and seeing everybody’s reaction is the best moment of my life.
"This way we got to do it totally the way we wanted – it wasn’t traditional, we didn’t have a sit-down meal and there weren’t loads of speeches.
"Someone once told me their friend had a surprise wedding and it stuck in my mind."
Matthew added: "We couldn’t have had a better response. People just screamed for about ten minutes!"

Charley stunned in a gown by Suzanne Neville which featured a lace and sheer bodice and a plain skirt.
Their surprise wedding comes after Charley and Matthew - who play Debbie Dingle and David Metcalfe in the ITV soap - revealed they are going to try for baby number three.
Matthew told OK magazine: "We’ll start thinking about having another baby next year. We’d love a girl but I think we’re destined to have a house full of boys."
The newlyweds are planning to go away on honeymoon later this year as they're too busy at the moment.
Matthew, 37, said: "We're going to wait until July and go away for two weeks. There's no way in a million years we'd go away that long without the kids, so they'll come with us and we're hoping to go to Walt Disney World in Florida."
