Emmerdale’s Charley Webb reveals her on-screen dad Jeff Hordley was her ‘bridesman’ at surprise wedding to Matthew Wolfenden
CHARLEY Webb asked on-screen dad Jeff Hordley to be her 'bridesman' at her surprise wedding to Matthew Wolfenden.
The 29-year-old actress plays Debbie Dingle in the soap, while Jeff is her on-screen father Cain Dingle.
After duping their loved ones into thinking they were attending Charley's 30th birthday party, the star and Matthew - who plays David Metcalfe - revealed they were actually getting married.
Charley asked eight of her closest female friends and family to be bridesmaids, and Jeff, 47, to be her 'bridesman'.
Explaining her decision to OK! Magazine, Charley said: "I couldn't not have Jeff as part of my day as he's my best male friend, so I wanted him to be my bridesman."
Charley also had co-stars Lucy Pargeter, Roxy Shahidi, Zoe Henry, Charlotte Bellamy, Sammy Winward and Emma Atkins as well as the soap's former producer, Kate Oates and Charley's sister Cassie Lomas.
Charley and David met on set of the ITV soap back in 2007 and have two children together, Buster, seven, and two-year-old Bowie.
The couple invited 100 guests to Ripley Castle in Harrogate, Yorkshire to the party-come-nuptials.
Charley's brother Jamie Lomas, who recently appeared on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, gave her away.
Their Emmerdale co-star Lucy Pargeter was one of the bridesmaids and stunned in a leopard print dress.
