Scarlett Moffatt shuts down Ant McPartlin ‘dating rumours’ as she describes Ant & Dec as ‘like the brothers I’ve never had’
Reality star shrugged off speculation from fans that she was getting close to Ant following his split from his wife Lisa Armstrong
SCARLETT Moffatt has brushed off rumours she’s “dating” Ant McPartlin and said the TV star is like a brother to her.
The Gogglebox babe, who’s settled down with hunky Lee Wilkinson, made the comments in a new interview ahead of the next series of Saturday Night Takeaway.
However she made it crystal clear this couldn’t be further from the truth when she opened up about her close friendship with the Geordie and his co-star Declan Donnelly.
Speaking about their friendship, Scarlett explained: “They’re like the brothers I never had.
“They’re genuinely lovely, down to earth people who offer me a lot of brilliant career advice.”
Scarlett is returning to Saturday Night Takeaway later this month and admitted she still has to pinch herself about being part of the team.
She said: “Walking into the first ever script meeting and realising, ‘Wow, I’m a part of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway!
“Just casually sat having a cup of tea with the most amazing people at ITV, discussing the script…”
“I know things like that only happen once in a life time and being on stage alongside Ant, Dec and Cat Deeley, the three heroes I watched every Saturday on SMTV Live, is a moment I wish I could bottle up and give to other people as the happiness I felt was overwhelming.”
Scarlett recently revealed she feels like am “amazing adult” after being able to purchase a property in the North of England after her success on TV.
However, with her busy schedule, she spends most of her time staying in hotels.

Scarlett said: “I’ve just got my first house, in the North. I feel amazingly adult. I try and get home as often as possible.
“Most of the time I’m living out of a suitcase, though.
“I never know what Travelodge I’m going to be in next.”
