Nicole Appleton breaks social media silence after night out with Paddy McGuinness that left his wife Christine in tears
NICOLE Appleton has broken her social media silence following her night out with Paddy McGuinness.
The All Saints singer, 43, has kept a low-profile since being pictured arm in arm with Paddy in Soho on February 9.
She took to Twitter this morning, writing: "Good morning Tuesday ☁."
Even though the post was brief, her fans were delighted that she is interacting again.
They wrote: "Good morning, glad you are back!
"Welcome back ♥️♥️♥️♥️.
"Morning Nic! Missed u 😘😘."
Paddy told wife Christine he was on a night out with pals — hours before being caught cosying up to Nicole.
It is understood Christine, who was at home with their three kids, had no idea he and All Saints singer Nicole had struck up a friendship.
A source revealed Christine and Paddy feel Nicole could have defused the situation by speaking out publicly but she jetted off to the Maldives.
She is understood to have been telling friends that nothing romantic happened between her and Paddy, 44.
The source said: “Paddy and Christine are furious she has only fuelled speculation by staying silent and has gone abroad — leaving them to publicly deal with the fallout.”
Sources close to the family told how our exclusive pics of Paddy and Nicole together in London’s Soho left Christine, 29, “blindsided”.
Paddy had his arm around Nicole — five hours before he called it a night.
A source said: “Christine didn’t know Paddy was out with Nicole. She was told he was going out in London with some of his friends.
“She thought his path had crossed with Nicole once or twice but that was it. So it was a shock when she saw the pictures of them together on Sunday morning in the paper.”
The Take Me Out host and Christine met up near their Cheshire home last week but it is believed talks have stalled.
Christine was recently seen wearing her wedding ring but a day later kept her hand firmly in her pocket.
Representatives for Paddy and Christine declined to comment.
