CELEBRITY Ghost Hunt fans were left in stitches after James 'Arg' Argent farted during an extremely tense scene on tonight's show.

The Towie star let one rip during a seance in King Henry VIII's bedroom as the gang sniffed out the spooks at Hever Castle in Kent.

His faux pas certainly diffused the tension as presenter Rylan Clark and celebs Sam Thompson, Courtney Green and Georgia Harrison collapsed into laughter.

Fans were also left in stitches with one tweeting: "Omg Arg letting one go in King Henry's bedchamber  no wonder the spirit made a run for it."

Another chuckled: "Arg farting absolutely killed me."

A third added: "Calling out to spirits everything is quite then farts I'm dying

The red-faced reality star later told viewers his gassy slip was down to nerves.

Georgia asked him: "Was it the curry or ghosts which got you?
