He is an internet star, who rose to fame by posting lip-sync videos on Vine and Musical.ly.
In 2016, Sartorius released his debut single, Sweatshirt, followed by his EP, The Last Text, in 2017 - for which he went on a world tour that included seven countries.
He was the ninth most searched musical artist of 2016 and as of October 2022 has over 10million followers on Instagram where he regularly posts pictures of both work and his personal life.
The singer has over 23million followers on TikTok, where he often posts content showing off his latest catchy songs.

In February 2019, Jacob posted a video on announcing he was no longer in a relationship.
