Jade lost her battle with cancer back in 2009
JADE Goody has been remembered in a touching tribute by her husband Jack Tweed.
He called the Big Brother veteran, who lost her battle with cancer back in 2009, his "Beautiful angel."
Alongside a stunning photo of the lovebirds smiling on their wedding day, Jack wrote on Instagram: "Remembering this special day 9 years ago today marrying this beautiful angel, miss you ❤❤❤ #jadeslegacy #smeartest x
Fans were quick to pay their own tributes to the Big Brother 3 star , with one writing: "Loved Jade! Thanks for the reminder of this beautiful lady."
The memories came flooding in with another well wisher writing: "Ahh I loved her from her big brother days met her once she was such a funny character and very beautiful! Could see how much she loved her boys too ❤ Angel."
Jade lost her battle with cervical cancer on Mother's Day, March 22, 2009 when she was 29-years-old, having married Jack just the month before.
She started what has since been named the Jade Goody Effect, as she urged her fans to get smear tests in order to detect early signs of cervical cancer.
Jack previously said: “Jade really wasn’t well leading up to it but seeing her find the strength to get up and dance was amazing. She found the energy to make it the day she wanted."
And discussing his love for the larger-than-life character he said: “I think it was because she was so down to earth. She never cared about what people thought. She was never scared to voice her own opinions – right or wrong. People came round to it in the end.”
Jade had a week to plan her big day, after being told that the cancer had spread to her liver, bowel and groin.
She died at home surrounded by her family – including sons Bobby and Freddie, her sons with TV presenter Jeff Brazier – a month later.
