LONDON LINGO

X Factor stars are tested on their cockney rhyming slang ahead of their Wembley arena tour date

The performers were put to the test on how well they understand cockney rhyming slang lingo ahead of their performance at Wembley arena tonight.

WITH The X Factor live tour rolling its way into London tonight, The Sun decided to put the performers to the test and quizzed them on their cockney rhyming slang abilities.

Matt Linnen, Sean and Conor Price, Jay and Kyle Cutkelvin and Kevin Davy White were given some of the East London lingo to see how well they understand cockney rhyming slang.

While Londoner Matt had an unfair advantage of living in the area, Frenchman Kevin, Irish brothers Sean and Conor, and Scottish siblings Jay and Kyle had a bit more of a test on their hands.

The words they were quizzed on were: China Plate (Mate); Bubble Bath (Laugh); Boat Race (Face); Rosie Lee (Tea); Ruby Murray (Curry) and Adam and Eve (Believe).

While Conor struggled and failed to get a single one right, his brother Sean proved to be a dab hand at the cockney slang and managed to land nearly every one - leaving his little brother fuming.

Meanwhile, Kevin, who was joined by Jay and Kyle, found the concept of rhyming slang confusing, before eventually getting the hang of it and screaming in delight as he finally got one right.

He then continued his winning streak and eventually started catching up with the boys.

As Kevin began to beat them, Kyle told him off and said: "You're showing us up now!"
