What is Classic Mary Berry and when is it on?

Classic Mary Berry sees the Cordon Bleu-trained chef tempt her family and friends by demonstrating a range of popular recipes, including classic British dishes.

Her brand-new series continues tonight, March 26, with episode five and she promises that every single dish featured has been personally tested at home with only those approved making the final cut.

The six-part series airs every Monday on BBC One at 8:30 PM.

What recipes are featured?

Tonight Mary's recipes look to help you our when you're entertaining guests, including sticky chicken, crispy roast duck and raspberry mousse.

In the opening episode, Mary concentrated on the nation's comforting classic, with a selection of recipes including slow-cooked lamb shanks and rich chocolate truffle pots.

Mary told  that viewers can expect "simple techniques, handy shortcuts, and tips on what you can prepare ahead and what you can freeze.

"This is food you can cook at home with no fuss and a sensible amount of ingredients. Classic me!".

The series also sees Mary travel to Leeds Castle and barbecuing food in Cornwall.

Which chefs appear on the show?

Mary also heads outdoors to try some Swedish open-fire cooking alongside chef Niklas Ekstedt.

Mary dubbed Niklas' style 'caveman cooking', as the chef is famed for cooking everything on open fires in his restaurant in Sweeden, without using gas or electricity.

The pair tackle venison meatballs with blackened celeriac, before working on Swedish doughnuts.

One of the highlights includes former Girl Guide Mary entertaining the bemused chef with a rousing chorus of the Girl Guides song Ging Gang Goolie.

Acclaimed florist Simon Lycett visited Leeds Castle in Kent with Mary as he prepares for the Festival of Flowers.

What else can I watch Mary Berry in?

Mary shows no sign of slowing down as she's also returning with a brand new cooking contest to rival The Great British Bake Off.

The veteran chef will once again be testing ordinary Brits' home-cooked fare on Britain's Best Cook.

Mary will be joined on the judge's panel alongside Dan Doherty and Chris Bavin.

Strictly presenter Claudia Winkleman will serve as host as it's set to hit screens later this year.
