Sam Faiers NOT allowed to answer questions on Ferne McCann amid rumours the pair have fallen out
SAM Faiers was stopped from speaking about Ferne McCann in a recent interview as her publicist stepped in to say she wouldn't be answering any questions about her pal.
The mum-of-two was promoting her latest instalment of The Mummy Diaries with sister Billie when a journalist from new! magazine mentioned Ferne.
After Sam spoke about her diet since giving birth to daughter Rosie in November, the reporter said: “And Ferne’s had a baby as well.”
However her publicist is said to have “interrupted” the conversation and said: “I’m afraid we’re not doing any questions on Ferne.”
The reporter was also shut down when asked if she saw Amy Childs, with the publicist informing: “I’m afraid no questions on Amy.”
The Sun has previously reported that Ferne and Sam’s relationship became strained during the Arthur Collins acid attack court case last year and reached boiling point when Sam revealed the name of her daughter Rosie an hour before Ferne’s reality show was due to start.
A source said: “Their fallout first started when Ferne told Sam that she had landed her own pregnancy reality show.
“Sam felt like Ferne was trying to emulate her success by launching a rival programme – and it made things awkward between them.
“Ferne was never going to turn down the show as it was an opportunity for her to make money for Sunday but without Sam’s support the breakdown of their friendship was inevitable.”
Sam took weeks to reveal the name of her new-born daughter but told fans she had called her Rosie less than an hour before the first episode of Ferne’s new show aired.
The Sun revealed that the rift in their friendship wasn’t helped by Ferne’s relationship with ex Collins.
Ferne was told by Sam to end her romance with Collins just months before he carried out an acid attack.
Sam was disappointed Ferne didn’t publicly condemn her ex, who was jailed in December for 20 years, after the attack took place.
A source close to Sam said: “Several of Ferne's close friends had warned her about the type of man Arthur Collins is.

“Sam had made her feelings about him very clear to Ferne and begged her to break off their relationship.
“But Ferne ignored her advice and that had a detrimental effect on their friendship and they eventually stopped talking."
“They had been friends from childhood so it was upsetting for them both but Sam didn’t want any part in it."
