Hayley confirmed what many fans had suspected - that she is a secret Slater cousin working with Stacey to help her fight Martin for custody of their children
MARTIN Fowler’s stalker in EastEnders has confirmed she is a Slater in tonight’s bombshell episode.
The mysterious character - who is played by actress Kate Jarvis in the BBC soap - was revealed as Stacey’s cousin after she fixed it so Martin was caught by the police having not returned his children to Stacey at the agreed time.
Walking into Stacey’s house, Hayley Slater hugged her cousin and said: “Done good, didn’t I?”
Telling Stacey to stay strong and not give into Martin, Hayley hinted that she could move onto the Square permanently.
She said: “Guess I’ll see you around then, never say never. This place isn’t as much as a dump as I thought.
“We’re Slaters, ain’t we. We fight dirty when we have to, there ain’t no shame in that. See you cuz.”
Earlier, Hayley went to meet Martin in the park as he spent the day with Arthur and baby Hope as part of his custody arrangement with estranged wife Stacey.
“What? Thought you were going to get them an ice cream.
“Didn’t have you down as a doormat,” she said, convincing him to spend a little bit of extra time with the kids.
She then schemed her way into convincing him to spend even more time with the kids, by buying Arthur’s dinner and tricking Martin into not taking the children back to Stacey.
Picking a food fight with Martin so he would have to get cleaned up, Hayley took the opportunity to cancel Stacey’s attempts at contacting Martin to find out where he was.
However, Martin was left shocked when Stacey turned up at his door flanked by two police officers.
“We had a call from your wife, concerned that you haven’t returned your children at the agreed time,” the officer said.
And then when the police told the former couple to formalise their arrangements with solicitors, Martin was left devastated.
“She didn’t have to do that, she must really hate me,” he said to Hayley as she apologised.
