EastEnders’ Harry Reid looks totally different to Ben Mitchell in his first role since leaving the soap
The 25-year-old actor is set to tread the boards in the Agatha Christie play Witness for the Prosecution
EASTENDERS' Harry Reid looks dramatically different to Ben Mitchell as he takes on his first role since leaving the soap.
Harry will play the accused Leonard Vole in the Agatha Christie play Witness for the Prosecution being staged in London's West End.
The 25-year-old bid farewell to the BBC One soap last month, as Ben headed off to France with a chunk of the heist money.
Ben left Albert Square on a ferry from Dover bound for Calais, having stolen the money from the heist from under dad Phil's nose - which turned out to be fake leaving him with just one wad of cash.
Now Harry is treading the boards in a new production of the classic courtroom play.
While the villainous role might not be a huge departure for the young actor, Harry looks completely different to Ben.
He has ditched the thick glasses and is even sporting a bit of stubble.
Harry will play Leonard - who is accused of murdering a widow to inherit her wealth - in the production at London County Hall from March 27.
Speaking about his new role, Harry said: “Once I knew that I was leaving EastEnders, I told my agent that theatre was something I really wanted to get involved with.
"I’m so excited to get started – it’s a brilliantly designed production and really immersive theatre.

“Leonard has a real innocence about him – he’s very easily led by people, but really lovable too.
"It’s a very interesting part to play and the story keeps you guessing until the end.”
Meanwhile, Harry has hinted that Ben could return to the soap in the future.
