Who is representing the UK in the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest?

This year's UK Eurovision entry is 29 year old SuRie from Harlow, Essex.

She will be performing the song "Storm" in Lisbon after winning the UK selection show Eurovision: You Decide.

SuRie (Susanna Marie) is no stranger to Eurovision having previously been a backing dancer for Belgium's 2015 entry Loïc Nottet.

The classically trained musician has also provided backing vocals for Will Young and Coldplay's Chris Martin.

 

Which countries did well in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest?

Last year's Eurovision Song Contest was won by Portugal who will now host the competition in the capital Lisbon.

Salvador Sabral came out with the most votes for "Amar Pelos Dois", a song written by his sister.

Bulgaria was the 2017 runner-up with Kristian Kostov's performance of the song "Beautiful Mess"

Moldova, Belgium and Sweden took third, fourth and fifth places respectively.
