Lindsay Lohan, Sarah Harding, and Rachel Stevens get messy as pictures reveal how stars used to party in the 00’s
Paparazzi pics from the 2000's prove that boozy stars weren't worried about hitting the town and making a fool of themselves
IN 2018, celebs are more likely to be caught posing for social media than falling out of clubs – but these new photos from the early 2000s prove that back then, stars really knew how to party.
The photos show A-listers like Lindsay Lohan, Sarah Harding and Rachel Stevens looking bleary eyed after a night out on the town – something most of them wouldn’t be caught doing now.
Big stars like Rhys Ifans, Jack Nicholson and Kate Moss would frequently be out on the town in London – and the paparazzi were waiting there to take their photo.
Photographer Max Butterworth, who took the shots, tells The Sun Online: “Back in the day, stars used to party really hard.
“They’d be out every night at different clubs.
“I took most of these photos between 2005 and 2010, and mostly around London’s Soho and Mayfair.
“The Jay Kay one was outside a club called Kaberet’s Prophecy.
“He bowled out of the club looking quite pissed and covered in liquid.
“It seemed like he wanted to get in a fight, and then suddenly punched a photographer.”
The Jamiroquai star was arrested, taken to a police station and cautioned for common assault. He was released with no further action.
Another of Max’s great shots was Kate Moss, leaving a hotel and passing a crowd of photographers who’d fallen asleep waiting for her.

“She’d been out with the US band The Strokes that night and it was about 5am. I got the shot when everyone else had given up,” he says.
Lindsay Lohan was another hard partier back in the day – and in 2009, Max got this incredible picture of her falling into a cactus after along night.
“Lindsay would go out at 11pm every night and stay out until 5am. This was taken in Beverly Hills around 5am and she just went over because she’d had such a long night.
“Stars don’t act like that anymore – a lot, like Lily Allen and Kate Moss have grown up and become more health conscious.
“Sarah Harding would party hard when she was in Girls Aloud, and she was fun, but you don’t see bands like Little Mix doing that these days.”
