Emmerdale spoilers: Chas Dingle decides against having an abortion as she tells Paddy Kirk she wants to keep the baby
CHAS Dingle does a surprise U-turn on her unplanned pregnancy in Emmerdale next week and decides she wants to keep her baby after all.
The pub landlady – played by – Lucy Pargeter - recently discovered she was pregnant after forgetting to get her contraceptive jab, not realising she wouldn’t be covered.
Over the past week, she's been set on having a termination, even though boyfriend Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) has pleaded with her not to, telling her it could be his last chance of having his own biological child.
So how will he react when Chas tells him she’s changed her mind and wants him to be Paddy the Daddy?
Chas recently revealed the truth about why she felt she couldn’t keep the baby in heart-breaking scenes – bravely admitting to Paddy that while he’d make a wonderful dad, she’d be a terrible mum.
She then confessed that she blamed herself for her son Aaron’s sexual abuse as a child, because she left him with his father Gordon Livesy, who repeatedly raped him.
Paddy tried to get her to see that the abuse wasn’t her fault, but Chas hasn’t been able to shake the guilt since Aaron revealed the devastating truth about his childhood with his dad.
Meanwhile Paddy doesn’t have any children of his own, despite bringing up Leo – his ex-wife Rhona Goskirk’s son with Marlon Dingle.
He made an emotional appeal to Chas to reconsider her choice, telling her how much he’s loved being a step-dad to both Leo and Aaron.
He also reassured her that she is a wonderful mother and would be again.
Could Paddy's words have anything to do with Chas’s change of heart?
