Despite being one of Britain's most adored actresses, the 30-year-old has revealed she can often feel anxious over the smallest of things.

"I get it quite a lot over little things. It comes in waves," Michelle told Cosmopolitan. "I use breathing techniques, or I go to the gym.

"That always helps me. I sweat it out and feel better and lighter."

Nevertheless, the former Corrie beauty admitted she has learned some important lessons since she turned 30 last June and doesn't beat herself up if she fails from time to time.

The candid interview also saw Michelle reveal she has hired a dialect coach to open up possible opportunities Stateside, where her husband Mark Wright is now predominantly based after landing a hosting position on Extra.

Speaking about the impact their careers have had on their relationship, she said: "We're more patient with each other, laid-back, and don't sweat the small stuff.

"I think because we are both really happy in our careers it helps with the relationship as well."

Speaking on Good Morning Britain last week,  Mark said he would give up his Hollywood dream if given the choice between that and his marriage.

"She would never say that, she wants me to conquer my dreams and I want her to conquer hers but marriage and my love life comes first."

But Michelle looks well behind her husband as she was pictured joining him on the Extra set on Monday afternoon.

The star was pictured being chauffeured around on a buggy before the happy couple left with Michelle's parents in tow.
