PRINCE William has revealed the part of Britain he considers home — Norfolk.
The rural county is the home of fictional DJ Alan “Aha” Partridge.
Despite living in London and holding the Duke of Cambridge title, William told of his connection to Norfolk in a letter to a local newspaper in support of “Norfolk Day”.
He was writing to a local newspaper in support of ‘Norfolk Day,’ saying the July 27 was “a great idea” to “celebrate all that is good about our home”.
The Queen’s winter residence Sandringham is in Norfolk. William’s mum Princess Diana was born at Park House in the grounds of Sandringham.
But despite his fondness the prince appeared to make a mistake in referring to Norfolk as having “historic cities” - when it only has one city, Norwich.
The letter read: “My family’s connections with the county of Norfolk go back more than 150 years when Queen Victoria bought Sandringham House.
“The obvious affection in which all my family is held in Norfolk, especially the Queen, as demonstrated every Christmas Day, means that the county has a particularly special connection for us.”
William and Kate are still regular visitors to their country retreat Anmer Hall, where the Prince enjoys shooting.
The house is where William, 35, lived with Prince George and Princess Charlotte while he was working as a pilot for the regional air ambulance.
