Coronation Street star Kym Marsh wants her son David, 22, to live with her until he’s 30
KYM Marsh has revealed she wants her son David to be “one of those weird men” who live with their mums until they are 30.
The 41-year-old’s 22-year-old son and her daughter Emilie, 20, still live in the family home and the Corrie star wants it to stay that way.
“I wouldn’t actually want them to go, it would be awful – my house will be so empty once they leave. I’ve said to David, ‘I want you to be one of those weird men who live with their mum until they’re 30!’”
Kym, who had David and Emilie with Dave Cunliffe, added: “I’ve always had a very close relationship with them – they’re like my best friends.
“We do a lot of things together. They’ve made brilliant adults, so I’m really proud of them.”
David is working as a floor and wall tiler, while Emilie is trying to make it as a singer and working in a beauty salon.
The star, who is also mum to Polly,6 , from her marriage to Jamie Lomas, recently moved the family into a £500k country home with her boyfriend Matt Baker.
Meanwhile the actress, who plays Michelle Connor on the ITV soap, Kym has been hitting the cobbles hard in recent weeks after starting work on a "big storyline", which comes shortly after Michelle's son Ali Neeson (James Burrows) returned to Weatherfield.
Writing in her OK! magazine column, she said: "I recently started on a big storyline, which means I've been at 'Corrie' before 7am every day and I've not been getting home till late."
James recently admitted his alter-ego and Michelle's other son Ryan Connor - who she brought up as her own after he was swapped at birth - will clash when Ryan returns.
Speaking to The Sun Online, he said: "There's a lot of hatred there as you can imagine - maybe some sort of jealousy as well. I think he might be slightly jealous of Ryan. It might get interesting."
