Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson wants to return to acting and launch Hollywood career
LITTLE MIX’s JESY NELSON wants to relaunch her acting career – and is looking for a top agent to help her land Hollywood roles.
Singer Jesy scored bit parts as a child extra in a series of movies before finding fame with the girlband on The X Factor in 2011.
And she is now keen to follow in the footsteps of another X Factor star — HARRY STYLES — after his success with Oscar-winning war film Dunkirk.
A source close to the girls told me: “Jesy was in a few movies when she was little, and acting is something that she has always dreamed of pursuing.
“She was impressed with the way Harry managed to make his mark on the film world, and would love to be cast in a blockbuster of her own.
“So recently she has been looking for an acting agent to help her get a foot in the door.”
Jesy’s new direction comes after JADE THIRLWALL was shortlisted to play Princess Jasmine in GUY RITCHIE’s film adaptation of Disney’s Aladdin last year.
If she hadn’t lost out to Power Rangers actress NAOMI SCOTT, there is no doubt the Hollywood role would have flung Little Mix’s future plans into chaos.
And Biz on Sunday exclusively told how the girls — Jesy, Jade, LEIGH-ANNE PINNOCK and PERRIE EDWARDS — had been forced into crisis talks over the issue.
But luckily for fans of the band, who will be releasing their fifth album this year, there is no chance that Jesy’s ambitions will throw a spanner in the works.
The source said: “The girls have an agreement in place that anything to do with Little Mix will always come first for them.
“The band is 100 per cent their priority.
“So any possible acting jobs for Jesy in future would have to fit around their plans.
“It is very much a side project for her, but one that she would love to look into further as long as there are no clashes with band commitments.”
Let’s hope her efforts are better than those demonstrated by previous pop stars in Hollywood.
We don’t need another MARIAH CAREY in Glitter.
Rings buff up nice, Em
AFTER EMILY RATAJKOWSKI got married last month, it was only a matter of time before she decided to show off her wedding ring as only she can.
The model stripped off to, well, nothing to pose with the gold band presented by her new husband – the hilariously named Sebastian Bear McClard.
And being Emily, the only other accessories she chose for the Instagram snap were a few more rings on her fingers and a pair of earrings.
Personally, I think I’d celebrate my big day with a traditional photoshoot in a wedding dress rather than opting for this kind of bare-all approach.
But then, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Emily with that many clothes on.
Definitely got the looks and maybe the talent
YOU don’t see many snaps of LIAM and NOEL GALLAGHER together now but Liam’s sons, Lennon and Gene, have stepped into the void left by their elders.
They posed this moody, monochrome photo this week on Gene’s Instagram page.
It won’t take readers too long to notice the very strong resemblance to their famous dad and uncle, who are seen here in an equally brooding picture from 1996.
Hopefully they have inherited the family musical talent as well as a gift for rock star posturing.
The shoot is over
JENNIFER LOPEZ was pictured taking a well-earned rest after filming her new video.
She teamed up with Yandel and Abraham Mateo on the Spanish track Se Acabó El Amor, which translates as The Love Is Over.
J-Lo looks fantastic – even if she did rustle up her skirt from some old curtains.
Texting times for Nic
Weeks after her cosy night out with PADDY McGUINNESS, NICOLE APPLETON has refused to reveal who she is swapping texts with.
When quizzed in a video blog about the last message she got, she replied coyly: “I’m not telling you who last texted me but I’ll tell you the text before.”
But she was more than happy to divulge who the last person to call her was and the last picture she took in the short video, which was uploaded this week.
The ALL SAINTS singer was pictured with Take Me Out host Paddy last month, much to the upset of his model wife CHRISTINE.
Hopefully Christine isn’t an avid viewer of video blogs.
Jen's gene-ius Oscar pills
JENNIFER LAWRENCE took designer pills to cope with the stress of the Oscars.
The totally natural Lumity capsules cost more than £1,000 for a year’s supply.
Pals said they would help her sleep after Jen, below, told them she felt exhausted following the world press tour for her latest flick Red Sparrow last month.
A source said: “Jen was conscious that all eyes were going to be on her at the Oscars and she was feeling knackered.
“The pills helped her cope with jetlag and stress.
“Plus it really gives her skin a healthy glow.”
Other celeb fans include CHERYL TWEEDY and models YASMIN LE BON and HELENA CHRISTENSEN.
And there was me, thinking it was all down to their good genes.

Women have a Healy hard time
UNA HEALY believes it is tougher at the top of the charts for female pop stars.
THE SATURDAYS singer, who launched her solo career last year, told me: “There are not enough women in music and, in the charts, there are an awful lot more men.
"It’s harder for women because of that.” Una, who has partnered with Royal Mail to design a Mother’s Day card with all proceeds going to Action for Children, added.
“It’s a great time for women to take power back, following the #MeToo movement.”
